My Story
I'm passionate about sharing beautiful photographs...
Jennifer Goldring is a photographer, writer, editor, and mother. She has an MFA in creative writing and a BA in economics. When she isn’t writing, taking photos, or hanging out with her two children she is Managing Editor for december magazine. She has been taking photographs and hanging out in darkrooms for over 25 years. Her passion for photography began when she was 12 years old in her first photography class and has continued ever since. Her photography evokes emotion through composition, balance, color, and subject. Jennifer is an avid hiker, backpacker, environmentalist, and observer of the natural world. She hopes her photography shows her audience the delicate balances between nature and man. Jennifer also shares details in nature in ways that many won’t otherwise see. She believes this is the first step to environmental awareness and education. She specializes in photographing flora and fauna and their wild places. The goal of her work is to capture and preserve our wild heritage and bring it close to the observer. In reaching this goal, she works towards educating the public about environmental stewardship and the balance between man and the natural world. She is a firm believer in the principals of Leave No Trace ethics.
